Timeline: 2006 - 2016

The West Delta Deep Marine Concession is located approximately ninety kilometers offshore Egypt, on the north-western margin of the Nile Delta. The water depth in the fields ranges from 400m to 1,000m. Significant gas reserves have been discovered in various reservoirs including Scarab, Saffron, Simian, Sienna, Sapphire, Sequoia, Saurus, Serpent, Mina, Silva, Sienna Up and Solar.

These reservoirs are progressively being developed by Burullus Gas Company, a BG and EGPC joint venture company, to maintain current and future gas supplies to Egyptian domestic market and the Egyptian Liquefied Natural Gas plant.

Global Maritime have acted as Marine Warranty Surveyors for the loadout, transportation and installation of the umbilicals, cables, flexible and rigid pipelines, subsea structures, spools, jumpers and deck extension for the phases IV, Sequoia, VII, VIIIa, VIIIb and IXa of the project and for the tie-ins from the BP West Nile Delta project. Fabrication of the equipment has been performed both in Egypt and in Europe and America. Saipem, Technip, Allseas, Subsea 7 and PMS were contracted to perform the installation work.

Global Maritime performed suitability inspections of all transportation and installation vessels, attended loadouts, seafastening and sailaways in Egypt and abroad and attended offshore during the offshore campaigns.
