Global Maritime has an international team of engineers, naval architects, and master mariners, who apply their diverse skills and knowledge to a variety of technical and commercial challenges at sea
Our objective is to find the best solutions, using established engineering principles, advanced analysis techniques and practical experience. We use a variety of sophisticated computer programs for numerical modelling, analysis and simulation.
Decommissioning
Global Maritime provides a full range of services to complete challenging decommissioning projects in the global offshore market. Activities include project management for the removal of offshore installations such as topsides, jackets, floaters, pipelines and subsea structures; preparation of all removal and transportation procedures; and coordination of the logistics associated with the entire decommissioning scope. The project teams can also provide FEED studies, and removal and transportation analyses.
Naval Architecture & Hydrodynamic Analysis
Global Maritimes team of highly qualified naval architects provide industry leading hydrodynamic analysis.
We perform motion response analyses of ships, drilling rigs and other floating structures; predict sea loads, including slamming and global load effects; design and analyse mooring systems; and provide on-board computer systems for analysis and simulation of moorings and riser performance.
Structural Engineering
Global Maritime’s experienced structural engineers, naval architects and hydrodynamicists offer the latest in structural engineering services, including structural strength analyses of vessels, jackets and modules for transportation, lifting and installation.
Other services include measuring the fatigue life of major structures during transportation, installation and in-place load regimes; risk-based structural assessments; mechanical analysis and design; and third-party verification of all marine and offshore structures.
Global Maritime also offers a variety of other engineering services including stability analysis, rig assessment, and availability analysis. We have also developed specialist, engineering software for the marine and offshore industries.
Marine Analysis & Simulations
Building on Global Maritime's expertise, long experience, and broad range of disciplines, we are able to offer our customers a wide selection of marine analyses and simulations, either as stand-alone products, as general project support, or as part of a multi-discipline study.
Listed below are a range of typical deliveries that we supply to vessel owners, rig operators, yards, and oil companies:
We maintain a range of analysis packages, including the design tools SESAM and Nauticus from DNV GL, the combined hydrodynamic and structural simulation packages MOSES and Orcaflex, and STAAD and ANSYS for structural analysis.
Operability
Global Maritime provides a number of services and products that help our clients plan for safe and cost efficient operations. Combining in-house engineering expertise and practical offshore experience with the latest technology, we bring real value to our clients.
Our main deliveries are:
Weather downtime simulations.
Risk & Safety
All our engineering and design services are underpinned by our integrated risk management services for the offshore and maritime industries. Drawing on experience from across the business, we provide a fully integrated approach to risk, incorporating diverse teams, best practices and specialist tools.
Our risk team has a wide variety of practical experience, including offshore operations, management of HSE and risk in large organizations, and the establishment of management systems in large, globally leading organizations.
Our services include:We have the most extensive experience within this field, with the broadest range of expertise, as it also includes more than 30 years of competence from offshore design and engineering from the Oil & Gas industry.
