Global Maritime is pleased to announce the appointment of Wataru Kato as the Regional Geoscience Lead for the Asia-Pacific region.
In this role, Wataru will assume regional responsibility of Global Maritime’s geoscience services, including GIS, engineering geology, geophysical, geotechnical, and subsea cable engineering disciplines. Located at Global Maritime’s Perth office, Wataru will facilitate collaboration across disciplines to provide integrated geoscience input for complex projects, aiming to deliver value to clients and engage in strategic project development.
With over three decades of global experience in geoscience, and commitment to integrated, client-focused solutions in the upstream energy sector, Wataru brings deep technical expertise and strategic insight across the full offshore project lifecycle. His background includes operational and leadership roles at INPEX and Osaka Gas Australia, as well as consultancy experience with RPS and ECL Australia.
