Marine and engineering consultancy Global Maritime have completed the Marine Warranty Survey Services (MWS) scope for a field development in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea.
Heerema Marine Contractors completed the installation of the A15 and B10 platforms in 2023, with semi-submersible crane vessel, Thialf. Following the platform installations, Dutch contractor Allseas carried out subsea campaigns with vessels Oceanic and Lorelay, installing umbilicals and a rigid pipeline to facilitate gas production. On completion of the drilling campaigns and tie-in of pipelines, production of gas has commenced from both platforms.
Global Maritime previously provided MWS services to Petrogas for the development of the A18 field and the decommissioning of the Halfweg Platform. This latest project adds to Global Maritime’s extensive experience in the Dutch Sector, supporting all phases of projects, including marine warranty, marine assurance, structural engineering, jack up site assessments, and operational planning and simulation.
Lovinash Bonomaully, Project Manager for Global Maritime, said: “We are delighted to complete another project for Petrogas. We have worked closely with the company throughout the last few years on various MWS projects, adding to our decades of experience in this area and demonstrating our capability and knowledge of complex projects.”
The Project Manager for Petrogas said: “Global Maritime’s reputation for innovation, practical experience, and operational excellence and safety is well known throughout the industry. It has been a pleasure to work with them in recent years on a number of successful projects, including this most recent project.”
Global Maritime are also the appointed Marine Warranty Surveyors for the decommissioning of Petrogas’ platforms in Block Q1: Haven, Hoorn, Helm, and Helder platforms. Haven and Hoorn were dismantled and removed last year and Helm and Helder will be dismantled and removed in future campaigns.
