Global Maritime’s Geosciences department – “GM Geo” - has met client and project demand across projects in Europe, Japan and South America with strategic recruitment and a larger office space at the sustainable innovation space, The Core, in the Helix development of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Growth has been driven by key projects in offshore wind energy, contracting strategically at a Tier 1 level to offshore wind developers and transmission operators. The GM Geo team now encapsulates expertise across key technical discipline areas of engineering geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering, subsea cables and GIS. Starting just 9 months ago, the team now comprises 12 professionals working exclusively in the offshore energy sector.
