Global Maritime was contracted to produce an updated DP and Ballast FMEA of the semi-submersible crane vessel Thialf, following an upgrade to the DP and Ballast system.
The scope of work was to write a DP and Ballast FMEA for the upgraded system. The aim of the FMEA trials was to verify that no single failure of the DP system or Ballast would lead to an unwanted or unexpected change of position or inclination of the barge during any marine operations.
