The project is site specific assessment of the jackup for various locations in offshore Qatar.
The GM contribution was to perform a site specific assessment for the jackup considering directionality of metocean data and comment whether the vessel can survive storm survival operations in a 50 year storm.
Assessment covered structural/naval and geotechnical aspects - leg penetration analysis, spudcan interaction (with relic footprints and bathymetry slopes) etc . GM’s role was to make the vessel meet the ISO 19905-1:2016 guidelines for storm survival operations.
