Global Maritime provided Marine Warranty Surveyor services from 2008 through 2013 for the removal of totally 11 fixed jacket platforms on the Ekofisk Field using a reverse installation methodology.
Services provided by Global Maritime include:
- Appraisal studies involving design, methodology and procedures for the removal of jackets and topsides by heavy lift vessels
- Review and approval of documentation and procedures
- Marine safety and suitability inspections of vessels engaged in decommissioning activities.
- Offshore attendances by Master Mariners and engineers during removal activities and load-in at the disposal facility
- Providing approval of operations during site attendances
