Global Maritime was chosen to be the Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for engineering, marine resource reviews and installation of Williams' Gulfstar 1 spar platform and its field development including the installation O&G Export Pipelines and Steel Catenary Risers (SCR) located in the Gulf of Mexico.
Global Maritime’s scope of work consisted of engineering and marine resource reviews and the necessary project management support activities including:
- Inspection and Survey of all vessels used for transportation and installation to ensure suitability
- MWS reviews and approvals for the installation of gas and oil export pipelines and Steel Catenary Risers (SCR)
Also, the Global Maritime installation MWS’s are knowledgeable DP experts, in this instance the MWS was able to provide real-time on-board assistance to the client when a pipe lay vessel suffered a DP system failure while in operation.
