Global Maritime is pleased to announce the appointment of John Butler as Global Business Stream Director for Marine Services.
John joined Global Maritime in 2021 as Head of Oil & Gas and Energy Transition Business Development, bringing with him over 25 years’ experience across the maritime, oil and gas, and energy transition sectors.
A Chartered Marine Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), John began his career in the Merchant Navy as a marine engineer on chemical tankers. He went on to hold senior leadership roles at globally recognised engineering organisations including Jacobs Engineering, TechnipFMC and Wood. Most recently, he served as Global Lead for Energy and Energy Transition at Global Maritime, supporting the development and growth of the commercial team.
In his new role, John will lead the Marine Services business stream, with a focus on diversification and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality services to clients worldwide.
