Cassandra leads the delegation of GM Norway’s consultants and drives resource planning across projects, working closely with the DP Coordinator in Bergen, who manages resource planning for all DP-related work. With a strong commitment to operational excellence and effective collaboration, she ensures each project is strategically resourced. Her role supports both day-to-day efficiency and the long-term success of Global Maritime’s operations in Norway.

Tell us a bit about your current role and what it entails?

As Resource Coordinator, I am responsible for consultant and resource coordination across Marine Services (MS), Marine Warranty Services (MWS), and Marine Operations (MO) projects in Norway, ensuring efficient execution and optimal staffing.

By coordinating consultants and managing resource allocation, I help maintain operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise staffing to meet client expectations. This involves proactive planning, close collaboration with project managers, and leveraging local and global talent pools to ensure every project is executed to the highest standards.

What has been your favourite Global Maritime project to work on?

Hywind Scotland, without question. It was both a privilege and a significant learning experience to coordinate personnel on a project of that magnitude and to witness how every department and team member aligned seamlessly toward a shared objective.

During the Hywind Scotland project, my primary responsibility was to maintain the master schedule, as well as managing recruitment, onboarding, and resource planning for internal and external personnel. This involved coordinating closely with project manager and discipline leads, ensuring we had the necessary expertise available at each project phase, forecasting future needs, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to secure the right capabilities when required.

What are you most excited about as you move into 2026?

As we move into 2026, I am particularly excited about the opportunity to further develop my professional expertise and take on new challenges, especially within Marine Warranty projects.

What do you enjoy most about working at Global Maritime?

The most rewarding aspect of my role at Global Maritime has been its wide variety - from preparing proposals for smaller projects, coordinating personnel, to engaging in HR-related tasks. I greatly value the opportunity to develop and maintain strong relationships with both clients and consultants.

Lastly, which Christmas song describes you best – and why?

Feliz Navidad by José Feliciano – it’s upbeat, impossible to ignore and gets everyone singing along – whether they like it or not! Much like my personality, aiming to bring people together and create a joyful atmosphere with a touch of chaos in the best possible way. Coincidentally, I’m partly Spanish too.
