Traditionally, floating solar plants have been deployed on smaller water bodies, where wind represents the highest loads on the plant. However, when moving to larger reservoirs, or nearshore, wave loads play an increasingly important role. This requires more advanced hydrodynamic analysis. During the last year, Global Maritime has completed two projects for large industrial players including mooring system design, motion response- and structural analysis of floating solar plants.

Global Maritime will continue to build on our existing experience in the floating solar industry to offer services within engineering, third party verification and technology qualification.
