Risk and Safety Analysis

Global Maritime has extensive experience with risk assessment for marine and offshore projects. Our staff act as consultants to designers, operators and contractors providing engineering capability coupled with hands-on experience of the practical operations offshore. We have undertaken risk analysis for major projects such as Morpeth TLP and the Interconnector pipeline project as well as the preparation of Safety Cases for FPSO developments.
Global Maritime provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of the probability of risk. We identify hazard initiators and risk reduction options, as well as methods of reducing and evaluating the consequences of marine related risk.

HAZID, HAZOP

Global Maritime plan and conduct HAZIDs and HAZOPs through well established procedures. Our team of experienced mariners and engineers have a unique competence in operations involving DP, anchor handling/rig move, heavy lift, transportation, etc.

FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)

Global Maritime has extensive experience in the application of FMEA techniques and has the advantage of being able to use practical experience to study complicated systems.

Marine Risk Assessment studies events such as collisions and groundings, developing relationships between cause and effect.

Casualty Investigations, Loss Investigations and Expert Opinion

The senior staff of Global Maritime have many years' experience, both practical and theoretical, of the marine industries - offshore oil & gas exploration and commercial shipping.

Safety Management Systems

Global Maritime helped develop the "Guidelines on the application of the IMO International Safety Management (ISM) Code" in 1995/6 on behalf of the International Chamber of Shipping and the International Shipping Federation.
