Services for High Speed Craft

Global Maritime have advised on high speed craft (HSC) since a fatal accident in Hong Kong in December 1989 where we were engaged because of our experience with control systems and failure mode and effect analysis.

The experience was used to assist at IMO when the present HSC code was developed. Since this time we have worked for Government authorities, owners and operators of high speed craft and for several builders of new designs. Our services include:

  • Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Sea trials for existing and new build craft
  • Compilation of operations manuals and check lists
  • Accidental/incident investigation and analysis
  • Expert opinion for claims arbitration and litigation
  • Specifications advice for new build contracts and upgrading old craft
  • Route assessments and craft suitability
  • Design of landing stages
