HYDROGM and HYDWIND Software

HYDROGM suite is a set of programs specifically written by Global Maritime for the hydrostatic and stability analysis of floating structures such as semi-submersible units, construction barges, steel jackets, jack-up rigs, gravity based structures and buoys. The suite comprises of 7 integrated programs including code checking of intact and damaged stability against criteria for any regulatory body (HYDCODE), graphical display of the vessel (HYDRAW) and calculation of wind forces (HYDWIND). The system is released on a PC platform and is in wide use.

HYDWIND calculates wind loads and overturning arms on vessels such as semi-submersible floating units, self elevating drilling rigs, and construction barges. The calculations are performed in accordance with the method given in the ABS and MODU Codes. This Global Maritime program caters for variations to the wind direction, vessel draft and heel angle.
