GM500A DESIGN COMMISSIONED FOR AXIS

Axis Offshore, the joint venture established in July this year by Danish shipowner J.Lauritzen and oil and gas private equity firm HitecVision, has confirmed an order for a 500 person 104.5m x 65m semisubmersible accommodation rig.

They have all been working hard on various projects in the first of their 6 month placements.

OFFSHORE SUPPORT VESSELS MIDDLE EAST 2012

David Drew, Marine Engineering and Dynamic Positioning Manager of Global Maritime Abu Dhabi has accepted an invitation to host a workshop at the Offshore Support Vessels 2012. The OSV Middle East will run from the 17th to the 20th September and is the only specialist conference for Offshore Support Vessels. Utilising David’s background in the subject of Redundancy, focus will be drawn on the considerations that should be made when looking at vessel design.

WELCOMING NEW MANAGEMENT IN ABU DHABI

We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Jim Harlock and David Drew to our Abu Dhabi office as Middle East Area Manager and Marine Engineering& DP Manager Middle East respectively. HITECVISION ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN GLOBAL MARITIME

HitecVision announced today, 18.06.2012, that it has, through HitecVision VI LP, acquired a 69.5% ownership position in Global Maritime. Jan Vatsvåg, CEO and Gary Hogg, COO, will retain a 30.5% shareholding in the company and continue in their leading management roles.

The DP department at Global Maritime were proud to support the European Dynamic Positioning Conference held in Central London in May this year. Now in its fourth year, the EDPC was established in response to demand for a dedicated international event focusing specifically on the growth and development of the Dynamic Positioning sector.
