Safety Management Systems

Global Maritime helped develop the "Guidelines on the application of the IMO International Safety Management (ISM) Code" in 1995/6 on behalf of the International Chamber of Shipping and the International Shipping Federation. Our staff includes qualified mariners with seagoing experience who are practised in developing safety manuals and SMS for leading international vessel owners and operators.

We have developed a vessel safety management system which offers a customised safety system tailored to specific requirements and budget. Each system is prepared by experienced marine staff, developed with practical involvement of the vessel staff, easy to implement and audit ashore and on board, and adapted for single vessel or entire fleet operations.
